Match days get busy, busy, busy

If you live on the Carpenters Estate it would be good to keep your eye on when West Ham are playing at home.

There will be a lot more people in the area and potentially using the surrounding roads of the estate like the Stratford High Street, Westfield’s Avenue and Montfichet Road to get to the stadium to see the football match.

They will be also moving through the Greater Carpenters area along routes like Warton Road and Carpenters Road to get to the Olympic Park.

Going out on match days

On match days the park will be extra busy. Also, if you are planning on do your shopping and visiting Westfield’s in Stratford City it will be busier too as crowds of fans herd towards the Olympic Stadium..

There will be police about and stewards to help crowd control. You might find that some areas are restricted and closed off to help mange the crowds. So, ensure that you allow extra time to get to your destination as your normal route might not be accessible.

Match day transport congestion

Transport will be extra busy making the busy congested Stratford station more tricky. Surrounding stations to will be busier than normal like: Pudding Mill Lane, Stratford Internal and Stratford High Road for the DLR, Bromley By Bow and West ham tube stations serving the district line.

Buses will be also busier than normal, so ensure that you make a note of match days and plan according to your needs.
